Mumukshu Patel leads the Food and Agriculture practice at Climate Advisers, which seeks to enable a more sustainable food system, leveraging innovation, diplomacy, and advocacy to help lower its greenhouse gas emissions.
Mumukshu is a proven leader in this space with more than fifteen years of experience co-creating and implementing multi-million dollar strategies to generate social impact for Giving Pledge signatories, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) and others; he has also consulted with multilateral development banks, civil society organizations and the private sector.
He began his career as a speechwriter for former World Bank President Jim Wolfensohn and a researcher with the Brookings Institution; he is a graduate of the Universities of Cambridge and North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
